Back in the early ‘60s when I was just becoming politically aware, my father told me earnestly that the real difference between U.S. representatives and senators was, “the House members think about the next election, you want senators that think about the next generation.”

When it comes to politics, what a campaign says is rarely as important as what they’re avoiding. And the writers of Ballot Measure 2 are hoping you don’t notice what’s on 33 pages of the 35-page measure.
