A missing persons notice for a man living at the Glory Hall who hasn’t been seen by staff there in more than two weeks was issued Wednesday by the Juneau Police Department.
Junior Lama Siufanua, 38, was last seen at the shelter on Feb. 9, according to a JPD statement. He was officially reported missing Tuesday.
"Staff reported that Mr. Siufanua had left all his belongings in his room," the statement notes.
Siufanua is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 325 pounds, with darker skin and facial hair.
"We have checked with facilities and treatment centers where he might go," JPD Deputy Chief Krag Campbell wrote in an email to the Juneau Independent on Wednesday. "We are still looking to see if there is any family or (next of kin) in Juneau, or outside of Juneau, that could help gather more details, but as far as I know, we haven't been able to identify any."
Anyone with information about Siufanua’s location is asked to contact JPD at (907) 586-0600. Anonymous tips can be made through www.juneaucrimeline.com.
