• Name placed on the sponsor page and at the bottom of every page

 

• One post on social media expressing gratitude for the sponsorship

 

• A banner notices each day at the top of the newsletter thanking all sponsors with their name or logo

 

• Notice in weekly-e-paper PDF's (and printed versions for special occasions/events) with their name or logo

How is sponsorship different from an advertisement?

To meet legal parameters of a tax-deductible donation to the Juneau Independent as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the following parameters apply:

• A sponsorship shows support for the Juneau Independent’s mission. An ad seeks to sell goods, services, etc.

 

• A sponsorship consists of the supporter's logo or a similar image, but not promotional content usually seen in ads.

​

• A sponsorship is a major contribution for a 12-month period. An ad is shorter term (typically monthly).
