JDHS continues road sweep through Utqiagvik tournament

One day after taking their limit of Grizzlies in Utqiagvik the Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé girls added some Bears to hang on their wall of victories on Friday.
The Crimson Bears had defeated Grace Christian on Thursday 56-50 during the 3rd Annual Karl Derek Ahgeak Invitational and then toppled the Kodiak Bears 53-30 Friday.
JDHS junior Layla Tokuoka scored 22 points, sophomore Kyndal Saceda added 11, senior Cambry Lockhart nine, sophomore Raynona Fraker six, sophomore Sadie Lockhart three and sophomore Freyja Shelton-Walker two. The Crimson Bears hit 8-11 at the free throw line.
JDHS led 15-8 after eight minutes, 28-11 at the half and 42-21 starting the final quarter.
Kodiak was led by 22 points from senior Mizzy Arbues, freshman Princess Tabanan added four points, junior Cadence Null and sophomore Ansiton Krug two apiece. The Bears were 2-2 from the line.
JDHS finishes tournament action against the host Barrow Lady Whalers on Saturday.
