JDHS leads Kayhi, Sitka, Wrangell in PSG Invitational

The Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé Crimson Bears swim and dive team dominated the action on Friday at the Petersburg Invitational.


The girls 200 medley relay of  Valerie Peimann (backstroke), Kennedy Miller (breaststroke), Amy Liddle (butterfly) and Kaelyn Szefler (freestyle) won the first event of the girls meet in 1:53.73 and the boys 200 medley relay of Liam Kiessling (back), Josh Edwards (breast), Kaden Aldrich (fly) and Levi Phelps (free) followed in the boys meet with a winning time of 1:44.93.


The JDHS’ girls B medley of Katya Foy (back), Riley Soboleff (breast), Annabelle Woodruff (fly) and Hannah Plang (free) placed fourth in 2:05.33 and the boys B medley of Clive Mateo (back), Henry Thatcher (breast), Axel Bolly (fly) and Ben Pallenberg (free) were fourth in 2:00.78.


JDHS’ girls 400 free relay of Deedee Mills, Avery Smith, Lily Francis and Amy Liddle would finish off the girls meet with a winning time of 3:59.17.


The Crimson Bears girls would win 10 of the 12 events, the boys five, and both teams topped their respective meets.
