Juneau’s Glacier Swim Club is hosting the 2026 Alaska Swimming Senior Championships Friday-Sunday at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center.


Swim clubs from across the state will be represented. Each day will feature preliminary events beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the finals of those events beginning at 6 p.m.


Following are daily schedules. Women swim an event first, followed by men. The times listed are for the first swims of the event.


Friday prelims first session features (women first, men second) the 100 Individual medley (9:30 a.m.); 200 freestyle (9:45), 50 backstroke (10:06 a.m.), 200 breaststroke (10:16 a.m.), 100 butterfly (10:29 a.m.), 800 freestyle relay final (10:47 a.m.), women’s 1000 free final-S and men’s 1650 free final-S (11:20 a.m.).


Friday finals, second session. After each set of finals there will be a break for awards of the previous swim. 1000 free (women 6:00) and men’s 1650 free (6:14 p.m.), 100 IM (6:33 p.m.), 200 free (6:45 p.m.), 50 back (6:59 p.m.), 200 breast (7:09 p.m.), 100 fly (7:27 p.m.), 200 Medley Relay (7:38 p.m.), mixed 200 medley relay (7:46 p.m.).

Saturday finals, second session are women’s 1650 free (6 p.m.), men’s 1000 free (6:25 p.m.), 100 back (6:40 p.m.), 200 IM (6:52 p.m.), 200 fly (7:08 p.m.), 50 breast (7:24 p.m.), 100 free (7:33 p.m.), 200 free relay (7:44 p.m.), mixed 200 free relay 7:56 p.m.).

Sunday finals, second session, are 500 free (6 p.m.), 50 free (6:24 p.m.), 100 breast (6:33 p.m.), 50 fly (6:44 p.m.), 200 back (6:53 p.m.), 400 IM (7:10 p.m.).


Sunday top event qualifiers (women first, men second - club, name, age, time):

500 free - Trembath 5:05.50 / Shockley 4:50.02; 50 free - GSC, Lily Francis, 17, 24.05 / Kopp 20.58; 100 breast - Peimann 1:04.85 / Schaetzle 59.42; 50 fly - Woodward 25.52 / Kopp 22.87; 200 back - Peimann 2:04.26 / Kiessling 2:05.97; 400 IM - Liddle 4:39.47 / Fazio 4:11.52; 400 FR - CAC 3:34.52 / CAC 3:11.83.


Any age swimmer (youth age group through masters) that has hit a senior event qualifying time earns passage into the championships and, while there, can swim in other events they have not qualified for. Each athlete may enter up to six bonus events as long as they have at least one qualified time. A swimmer is limited to seven individual swims (no more than three per day) plus relays.
