In support of Bill Hill
We are now in the final week before our midterm general election on Nov. 3. We will all be relieved to see the last of campaign ads and messages, but as we go to the polls we must tune out the noise and vote for the candidates who will best represent Alaska and all of us who live here. For the US House of Representatives, the best candidate is Bill Hill, a lifelong Alaskan with many talents and a huge commitment to our state and its people. He grew up in a rural area and has commercial fished since childhood. He also served as a math and science teacher, principal and school district superintendent. In 2023 he was given the Superintendent of the Year award.
Bill Hill is running as a nonpartisan candidate for the U.S .House and is the only candidate for this office endorsed by the Alaska Democratic Party. He has my personal endorsement as well. Another candidate for this office, Eric Hafner, calls himself a Democrat, but has not been endorsed by the Alaska Democratic Party. Hafner has never been to Alaska and is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence in another state after pleading guilty to threatening to kill public officials, police officers, attorneys and their families. Hafner is not worthy of even consideration for Alaska’s U.S. House seat.
I urge all Alaskans to vote for Bill Hill, the candidate who will work for all of us and support coalitions that will improve and expand services and programs that have been neglected for too long.
