(City and Borough of Juneau press release)

The Kaxdigoowu Heen Dei (Brotherhood Bridge Trail) is closed starting Tuesday, March 24, due to Phase 2 installation of HESCO barriers along the western side of the paved trail from the Brotherhood Bridge parking lot through the meadow. Work and the associated trail closure will last approximately one month.

The trail will be closed to the public as the U.S: Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and their contractor Sealaska Constructors leads barrier installation. Barriers will be placed on the neighborhood (uphill) side of the trail, allowing for ADA accessible use of the trail after planned installation is complete. Alternative access to the trail is present from the Dimond Park Field House via the footbridge.

The public is asked to avoid the construction area for the safety of workers, residents, and visitors. More information and further updates will be provided on the CBJ website at juneau.org/engineering-public-works/hesco-barrier-phase-2 as available.
