On Saturday evening, water began pouring down Wire Street. It was dark, it was very cold and it was hard to see what was going on. Whatever it was, it sure wasn’t good.

The CBJ Water Utility crew arrived quickly and worked all night in single-degree temperatures in order to find and fix the problem. It turned out to be a break in the main water line, which had to be dug out from under the street.

It’s easy to take something like running water for granted, and not think much about the work it takes to make it all happen. On behalf of our little neighborhood, I want to thank every single crew member that spent the night and half of the next day making sure our water was restored. You guys were amazing!
