Outer Drive construction blamed for Juneau wastewater violations

Construction-related changes to wastewater flows caused the unusually high bacteria readings recorded last summer at Juneau’s Thane road treatment plant, according to city officials.

The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) told the Empire that upgrades at the Outer Drive Lift Station required temporary adjustments to flows feeding the Juneau-Douglas wastewater treatment facility.
