Camping Complaint
At 5:21 p.m. on Tuesday, a firearm previously reported stolen was recovered on Alaska Avenue.
Conditions Violation
At 5:31 p.m. on Tuesday, Wayne Nelson, 29, was arrested on Churchhill Way for escape and violating conditions of release. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Disabled Vehicle
At 2:29 p.m. on Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department assisted an owner with paperwork for disposal of an inoperable vehicle on Glacier Highway.
Failure To Yield
At 10:36 a.m. on Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks reported receiving information about the location of Ivan Vent, 38, of Juneau, who had $25,000 warrant for second-degree assault, third-degree misconduct involving weapons and third-degree attempted escape. Shortly after the tip came in, troopers located Vent in a vehicle. The vehicle fled troopers, reaching speeds over 100 mph, and crossed into incoming traffic on multiple occasions. Troopers eventually performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle, ending the chase. Vent received a minor injury during the incident. Vent was being medically cleared prior to being booked into Fairbanks Correctional Center for the warrant and numerous new charges.
Traffic Stop
At 9:49 p.m. on Tuesday, Dillion Walter, 34, was cited and released on Clinton Drive for driving while license suspended. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Trespassing
At 1:04 a.m. on Tuesday, JPD responded to a report that a 38-year-old male and a 37-year-old male were trespassing at a business on Glacier Highway.
