Assault
At 7:23 p.m. on Thursday, Makayla Leann Peter, 19, was arrested on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive for assault. Domestic violence was a factor.
Attempt to Serve
At 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, Jesse Rodriguez, 47, was arrested on Lemon Creek Road on a $25 warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving without a license.
At 1:42 p.m. on Thursday, Alfred Torres, 32, was arrested on Glacier Highway on a $25 warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license revoked or suspended. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Conditions Violations
At 7:17 p.m. on Thursday, a 35-year-old female reported a 34-year-old male violated a protective order.
Death Investigation
At 3:43 p.m. on Thursday, the Alaska State Troopers reported that at 8:26 p.m. on Wednesday the Troopers received a report from the medical staff onboard the Royal Princess cruise ship that 87-year-old California resident Jane Clark had died while the ship was in transit between Juneau and Ketchikan. On Thursday at 7:50 a.m., Ketchikan Troopers boarded the ship when it arrived in Ketchikan. Investigation revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding Clark’s death. The State Medical Examiner’s Office released Clark’s body to her family, who will disembark with her remains when the ship arrives in Seattle.
Disturbance
At 9:21 p.m. on Thursday, Vivian Jesse Wright was arrested on Front Street for disorderly conduct, assault, resisting, violating conditions of release and making a false report. Alcohol was a factor.
Fraud Forgery Counterfeit NSF
At 2:28 p.m. on Thursday, an 82-year-old female reported fraudulent transactions.
Motor Vehicle Collision Without Injury
At 2:26 a.m. on Thursday, a 62-year-old male reported a 69-year-old male his a mailbox with his vehicle on Churchill Way.
Trespassing
At 6:36 a.m. on Thursday, Kenneth Demmert, 39, was cited and released on Glacier Highway for trespassing and violating conditions of release.
