Police blotter for June 26

Search and Rescue

At 12:42 p.m. on Friday, the Alaska State Troopers reported that at 7:14 p.m. on June 20 the Juneau-based AST received a report of two hikers unable to make it back to the trailhead on the West Glacier Trail. Neha Sundaram, 38, and Krupesh Kakkent, 39, were returning to the trailhead when Kakkent experienced cramps and was unable to walk. Juneau Mountain Rescue responded and was able to assist Kakkent back to the trailhead. No injuries reported and no EMS response was requested.


Traffic Stop

At 1:05 p.m. on Friday, a 46-year-old male was cited and released on Valley Boulevard for driving while license revoked/suspended.


Trespassing

At 3:13 p.m. on Friday, Lester Pitka, 44, and Rian Siler, 46, were cited and released on Wittier Street for trespassing. Alcohol was a factor.


Welfare Check

At 1:26 a.m. on Friday, an 88-year-old female was reported missing on Franklin Street. She was later found.
