A teenager who didn’t return home from school on March 18, prompting a three-week search, is home again after police found him Monday via an anonymous tip, according to the Juneau Police Department.

Michael Northern Miller, 17, was reportedly seen near the Mendenhall Mall a day after he went missing, and was known to frequent locations in that area, according to a JPD Facebook post published March 20 asking the community to watch for him. The department updated its Facebook post Tuesday to note he was found by officers and returned home on Monday.

Miller’s condition and where he spent the past three weeks are not specified in the police report about his case, according to Deputy Police Chief Krag Campbell. The teen was found when police received an anonymous tip he was at Fred Meyer.
