Woman sustains life-threatening injuries in single-vehicle crash on Egan near U-Haul

A 28-year-old Juneau woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning and was medevaced out of town for treatment, according to the Juneau Police Department.
JPD received a report at about 6:10 a.m. of the accident at the outbound off-ramp near the U-Haul building, according to an information release from the department.
"It was reported that the driver of the vehicle had been partially ejected from a gray Ford F-150 truck," the release states. She was the only occupant.
The woman was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital before being flown out of town for further treatment, according to JPD.
"The intersection and the right lane of Egan Drive outbound were closed off during the investigation," the release states. "It has since been reopened. The cause of the crash is still under investigation."
