This is a developing story.

A 35-year-old female driver of a 2012 Honda was cited for failing to exercise due care on Saturday afternoon after hitting a 45-year-old woman on a bicycle on Glacier Highway.

She was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital with minor injuries, according to Capital City Fire/Rescue.

The Juneau Police Department is investigating a vehicle that hit a pedestrian near Sandy Beach on Sunday at about 1 a.m. The vehicle left the area after the strike, according to JPD. The injured man was transported to the hospital.

The patient reportedly sustained a broken pelvis and was subsequently airlifted to a higher level of care for further treatment, according to CCFR.

"At this time, we have no additional information regarding the patient's condition," wrote Fire Chief Tom Hatley in an email Monday.
