Friends of the Flags installed the U.S. state flags along Egan Drive between 10th Street and Marine Way on Saturday.

Beginning in 1978, the annual installation of state flags has become a long-standing tradition in Juneau. Friends of the Flags, a volunteer organization which partners with Tourism Best Management Practices and Travel Juneau, provides new state flags and hardware for the program. Donations fund Friends of the Flags and volunteers are used for flag installation.
