The Crimson Bears boys’ and girls’ basketball teams began their annual post-Christmas showdown with visiting teams from other Alaska high schools on Saturday with the opening of the George Houston Capital City Classic at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé.

Visiting teams include Fort Yukon, Kake, Monroe and Petersburg. The tournament is scheduled to continue through Tuesday.
