This is a developing story.

An incident with a Goldbelt Tram cabin near the loading bay on Thursday night resulted in five injuries, according to Capital City Fire/Rescue.

Two patients were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and the remaining individuals were evaluated on scene, according to a CCFR social media post made at approximately 9:49 p.m.

The tram car came to an abrupt stop on its way down from Mount Roberts and the cause is still under investigation, according to KTOO.

Crews successfully stabilized the cabin and gained access to all occupants, according to CCFR. Responding units included E-11, Medic 1, Medic 3 and two Chief Officers.

Inquiries to CCFR by the Independent have not received a response as of Thursday evening.
