The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) will host three Juneau Futures public workshops in November. Each workshop is a standalone session designed to explore where and how Juneau should grow in the years ahead.
In this hands-on, interactive experience, participants will step into the role of a city planner. Small teams will navigate real-world challenges, weigh tradeoffs, and make strategic decisions about Juneau’s future — all with limited resources and an unpredictable mix of opportunities and obstacles.
Registration is required and space is limited.
Workshop dates and locations:
• Thursday, Nov. 6: Generations Southeast Community Center, 3239 Hospital Drive.
• Monday, Nov. 10: Mendenhall Valley Library, 3025 Diamond Park Loop.
• Wednesday, Nov. 19: Juneau Makerspace, 3915 N. Douglas Hwy.
All workshops will be held from 5:30–7:30 p.m. and are in-person only.
These workshops are part of an ongoing project to update CBJ’s Comprehensive Plan, which will guide Juneau’s growth and development over the next 20 years. For more information on the Comprehensive Plan, upcoming events, and ways to stay involved, visit ourfuture.juneau.gov.
