Motorcyclist transported to hospital following vehicle collision

The Juneau Police Department received a report of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Egan Drive across from Twin Lakes on Thursday at about 4:15 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Krag Campbell. A 32-year-old female driver of a Toyota RAV4 hit a motorcycle. The male motorcyclist, 62, was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash. 

“It is unknown how significant the injuries were at that time,” Campbell wrote in an email to the Juneau Independent.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
