Register by Sunday, Sept. 7, to vote in CBJ municipal election

The last day to register to vote — or update your mailing address — before Juneau’s municipal election is Sunday, Sept. 7. Visit voterregistration.alaska.gov to register or make an update online, or visit City Hall or any public library to register to vote by paper.


People who will be 18 years of age or older as of Oct. 7 are eligible to vote in this election. People can register up to 90 days before their 18th birthday.


Ballots for this election will be mailed Sept. 19 to registered Juneau voters at the mailing address they have on file with the State of Alaska Division of Elections. Registration status and mailing addresses can be checked online at myvoterportal.alaska.gov.


Vote centers will open for in-person voting starting on Sept. 22. The last day to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 7.
