Juneau residents impacted by the glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) are invited to attend an open house on Tuesday, June 9, in the Thunder Mountain Middle School common area. The City and Borough of Juneau, along with Tlingit and Haida, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Weather Service, and other emergency partners will be available to answer questions and provide resources ahead of the 2026 GLOF.

The meeting will allow people to ask questions, sign up to volunteer, and learn about upcoming sandbag distribution activities before the flood. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
