Obituary: Elizabeth Doehne Tallmadge

Elizabeth Doehne Tallmadge died Aug. 5, 2026, at the University of Washington Northgate Medical Center after losing a three-year battle with an extremely rare and aggressive form of inflammatory breast cancer. She was 36.

She was born at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Juneau during a snowstorm on Feb. 9, 1990.

Elizabeth was a deeply private, imaginative and creative person with a wicked sense of humor. She will be missed by any and all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Frederick and Helen Tallmadge, and her sister, Kathe Tallmadge.

Her wake will be held at the Aurora Theater in Juneau on Aug. 23 from noon to 3 p.m. Suggested attire is a graphic t-shirt suitable for viewing "Star Wars: A New Hope."
