Obituary: Jennifer Nielsen Johnson

Jennifer Nielsen Johnson, beloved of all who knew her, passed away in Seattle, Washington, on July 13, 2026, at the age of 55, surrounded by her family.

Born on Sept. 23, 1970, in Logan, Utah, to Steven Blaine and Margaret Miner Nielsen, Jennifer lived a life filled with love and laughter. She smiled through the hard times and eased the burdens of those around her through her Christlike love and selfless service.

Jennifer grew up in Cache Valley where she graduated from Mountain Crest High School and met her eternal sweetheart, Brady. They were married Sept. 3, 1993, and were later blessed with three wonderful children. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She and Brady were sealed together with their children for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.

Jennifer loved music, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She had a talent for family history research and helped countless others to connect with their families. She also loved spending time with the youth as an early morning seminary teacher.

She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again and that she is now free from pain, resting in the loving arms of her Savior.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Brady and their children Cole (Ana), Zane, and Gracie. She is also survived by her father Steven; mother-in-law JoDee; father- and mother-in-law Roger and Julie; siblings Angela (Chris), Timothy (Andrea), Michael (Nannette), Jonathan (Michelle), Robert (Gina), and Suzanne (David); and brothers-in-law Cory and Curtis. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret, father-in-law Jim, and brother Jeffrey.

Memorial services will be held in Juneau, Alaska, on Aug. 1 and in Clarkston, Utah, at a later date.
