Obituary: Levi Jacob Belcourt
Levi Jacob Belcourt, 40 years old, passed away on Sept. 8, 2026, taken too soon by an aggressive cancer that returned after we thought it had been beaten.

Levi was born on Nov. 22, 1985, in Havre, Montana. He was a Chippewa Cree Tribal member of the Rocky Boy Reservation in Box Elder, Montana. In 1989, his family made the journey on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry Malaspina to Juneau, which became his home.
Above all, Levi loved his children, Keaton and Kyla, more than anything in this world. After living through some hard seasons, he chose sobriety and got to truly enjoy life again. In these last few years, he found real joy working at Breeze In. He also treasured trips to Orlando and Seattle, among the highlights. Levi loved to go fishing with his kids during the summer and chasing sunsets and the auroras trying to get the best pictures.
Levi is survived by his children, Keaton and Kyla; his mother, Mary; his siblings, Ilea, Kevin and Jesse; and many other relatives in Montana, California, Nevada, Washington, Florida and Panama. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey. We take comfort in knowing that they are together again.
Rest easy Levi, you are loved and you will be missed every single day.
A Celebration of Life will be Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at Mary's condo; 9450 Del Rae Rd., Unit 8. Call for further
details if needed at 907-500-2363.
