Obituary: Phyllis C. Kane
Phyllis C. Kane died in her senior living complex in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 17, 2026, at 3 p.m. She was a few months shy of 94.
She loved Juneau and visited many times to spend time with her daughter, Emily Kane, and only grandchild. She had a good life punctuated by sorrows, as do most of us. She had a long marriage to Ed Kane, a career diplomat based in the Middle East, and became an expert in Oriental carpets. She is survived by her daughter, one of her sons and one of her triplet sisters.
