Steven Robert Lewis Sr., 74, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Seattle, after a very recent diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Steve was born in 1951 in Wrangell, Alaska. He enjoyed an idyllic childhood in Wrangell. As the youngest sibling he was adored.

After high school graduation, he went to school in California where he studied electronics. That opened the door to many different jobs that took him throughout Alaska. He was a Maintenance Supervisor at Alaska Housing Finance Corporation for 26 years. He retired in 2007 and never regretted that decision.
Steve enjoyed playing softball and was a board member of JSA for many years. He hung up his cleats in 2014. He was also a board member of JYFL. Steve was a Douglas volunteer firefighter for many years. He was a member of the Wrangell Elks. He liked the social aspects that brought the community together. He loved watching sitcoms and would laugh aloud, even if he had just seen the episode. He rarely missed his grandson’s baseball games and traveled to watch games and tournaments in Anchorage. Computer programming, genealogy and home renovation projects kept him busy at home. He was a handy man and could fix anything.
Steve volunteered for many years with AARP Tax Aid, completing taxes. He also worked and volunteered for elections for many years. He loved watching Duke basketball and was a fan since 1980s. His only in person game was in 2010 at the NCAA final four and they won!
Steve and Kim spent the last few winters RVing in Arizona and Texas, escaping Juneau in the winter. They recently moved to Sequim, Washington, for warmer, dryer weather.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kimberly Wilson; his children, Tami Lewis and Steven Lewis Jr. (Angela); grandchildren Kayla and Noah, great-grandchildren Thomas, Adrian and Addison.
He leaves his sisters Carol, Donna, and Delpha, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their extended families.
In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by his sister, Daisy, brothers and other family members.
Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
