(Bartlett Regional Hospital press release)
In preparation for the renovation of the Emergency Department and construction of a new entrance, the entrance has moved from the backside of the hospital to the channel (west) side of the hospital. This is a temporary entrance that will be used for much of the project. The new ED entrance will be opened once the project nears completion.
To help direct patients to the temporary entrance, large signs have been placed along the roadway, and a temporary drop-off area has been made to help guide those seeking emergency care.
Hospital employees will be stationed at the temporary ED entrance door 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the duration of the project to help direct and assist patients.
Bartlett Regional Hospital is reminding the community that the ED remains fully open and operational throughout the duration of the renovation project.
The hospital’s ED will be undergoing a $13.5 million upgrade that will improve the overall environment of care for patients and staff, as well as improve specialty care rooms to better manage airborne diseases and mental health emergencies. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2027.
