(City and Borough of Juneau press release)

Sigoowu Ye Park, located at 5921 Pine St. in Lemon Creek, reopened on Wednesday, Oct. 21, after chicane fencing was installed at the park entrances. Sigoowu Ye Park was temporarily closed in September after the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) received reports of dangerous bike activity in the park.

The CBJ Parks & Recreation department reminds the public that bikes are not allowed in Sigoowu Ye Park. CBJ offers two designated bike parks for Juneau riders, Cope Park bike skills park and the recently opened Thunder Mountain Bike Park.

Residents can find other parks at the Find a Park webpage.

For more information about the Sigoowu Ye Park closure, contact CBJ Parks & Recreation at 907-586-5226.
