Parks and Recreation winter shelter reservations now open

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department winter shelter reservations are now open. Winter shelter reservations are available September 16 – April 14 and cost $25 per hour plus tax.

Reservations can be made online, in person at the Parks & Recreation main office at 1208 Glacier Ave., or by emailing a reservation form to parks.rec@juneau.gov.

Please note, park bathrooms are not open during the winter months, but portable toilets are available at Savikko Park and Twin Lakes. In addition, the winter shelter rate of $25 is lower than the summer shelter rate due to reduced maintenance. Maintenance will vary depending on weather and staff availability.
