(City and Borough of Juneau press release)
Renovation of Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park’s outdoor tennis and pickleball courts begins Monday, July 6. Renovations will result in fresh court surfaces and paint, new net posts, and three functional courts: one for tennis that can be used as two shared pickleball courts, and two dedicated pickleball courts.
Work will begin with demolition and installation of the new net posts, and continue with resurfacing and restriping as soon as weather allows. Construction will last through the month of July and may extend into August, depending on weather and contractor scheduling. During renovations, Adair-Kennedy’s courts will be closed to the public. Players can visit the courts at Cope Park during renovations. Adair-Kennedy basketball court will not be affected by this project.
Funding for this project was allocated last year using Parks and Playground Capital Improvement Project funds.
