The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting public open houses in November and December 2025 to gather input for the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP) update. An in-person open house in Juneau is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Mendenhall Valley Public Library.
The meeting will follow an open house format, allowing attendees to drop in at any time during the scheduled hours.
DOT&PF is updating the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP), a 20-year multimodal transportation plan that will guide future public investments in Southeast Alaska’s infrastructure.
Goals include:
• Assess the existing transportation system
• Align with the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) Long-Range Plan
• Identify and evaluate transportation facilities, issues, and needs
• Guide development and maintenance of all transportation modes
• Incorporate public input to reflect community needs
• Prioritize projects for future funding opportunities
Details about the project are at www.southeastalaskatransportationplan.com.
